Immigration Courts and USCIS in North Texas

These are the federal immigration offices for the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

OfficeAddress
Dallas Immigration Court1100 Commerce Street, Suite 1060, Dallas, TX 75242
Fort Worth Immigration Adjudication Center819 Taylor Street, Suite 600, Fort Worth, TX 76102
USCIS Dallas Field OfficeUse the address printed on your interview or appointment notice

USCIS field offices do not take walk-ins, and USCIS asks applicants to confirm the office address on their notice. Court addresses are from the Executive Office for Immigration Review. The Fort Worth center is an Immigration Adjudication Center, not a regular immigration court; your notice tells you where your case is heard.

What Immigration Courts and USCIS Ask For

In the Dallas court and at the Fort Worth center, 8 CFR 1003.33 applies: no foreign-language document is filed without an English translation and the translator's signed certification. In it, the translator confirms both their competence and the accuracy of the translation. The Immigration Court Practice Manual wants the translator's address and telephone number on it as well.

USCIS has the same core rule for applications: a full English translation with the translator's certification of completeness, accuracy and competence (8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)). A summary is not enough, so every stamp, seal and handwritten note is translated.

Every certificate carries the translator's signature, the date, their name and how to contact them. Court records, police certificates and judgments are covered on our legal translation page.

Consulates in Dallas

These are three of the consulates in Dallas. Records they issue, if not in English, need translating before USCIS or a Texas court will use them.

Marriage Licenses in Dallas and Tarrant Counties

In Dallas County, the County Clerk's Vital Records office issues marriage licenses. Completing the Twogether in Texas premarital course cuts the fee by $60 and waives the 72-hour waiting period.

In Tarrant County, which includes Fort Worth and Arlington, the County Clerk accepts a current, unexpired US or foreign passport as identification. There is a 72-hour waiting period, the ceremony must take place within 90 days, and applicants for a formal license can apply by video.

If you married in another country, your foreign marriage certificate is your proof of marriage. USCIS and Texas DPS (for a name change) both want that certificate in a certified English translation. See marriage certificate translation.
