A certified internship and residency certificate translation is a complete English translation of your postgraduate training records. It comes with a signed Certificate of Accuracy, ready for ECFMG, licensing boards and immigration authorities. It documents completed clinical training and is translated in full from the original. At Pro Translation Service it costs $22.99 per page and arrives within 24 hours for documents up to 3 pages. If an authority rejects the translation because of a translation problem, we refund your order in full.

Qualified Human Translators
Native speakers fluent in your certificate's source language with graduate medical education and specialty terminology experience. No machine translation, never the applicant.
Signed Certificate of Accuracy
A dated, signed Certificate of Accuracy accompanies every translation, meeting 8 CFR § 103.2(b)(3), state medical board translator certification standards, and FCVS verification requirements.
Specialty, Dates, Hours & Program Details
Specialty designation, exact training dates, total months, program director signatures, hospital seals, and rotation details are all reproduced exactly as on the source.
24-hour Turnaround
Standard delivery is within 24 hours for documents up to 3 pages. Longer residency packages with several training certificates get a delivery time with your quote. If a state board cutoff is close, a 12-hour rush is available for $7 more per page.
Full Refund if Rejected
If the authority your translation was prepared for rejects it because of a translation problem, send us the rejection notice. We will refund your order in full. Free revisions are included for 14 days after delivery; after that, a small revision fee applies.
Who Needs a Residency or Internship Certificate Translation
Internship, residency and fellowship certificates record your postgraduate training. State medical boards, international regulators and credentialing offices need this history before granting a full license or hospital privileges. FCVS Portfolio Applicants
Physicians building lifetime FCVS portfolios with translated postgraduate training certificates as part of the credentials repository sent to multiple state boards.
UK GMC & CESR Applicants
IMGs documenting internship completion for GMC registration, and specialists pursuing the GMC Specialist Register through the CESR or CEGPR pathway.
Hospital Credentialing & Privileging
Physicians submitting training history for hospital privileging, locum tenens placement, and managed care credentialing under Joint Commission and NCQA standards.
USCIS Physician Visa Applicants
IMGs filing H-1B physician petitions, J-1 conversions, and EB-2 NIW physician green cards where postgraduate training documents establish specialty and seniority.
Fellowship & ABMS Specialty Boards
Foreign-trained specialists submitting residency and fellowship certificates as part of ABMS member board reviews and US fellowship applications.

Order NowACGME-Accredited Certificate vs Foreign Postgraduate Training Certificate
A key rule on training certificate submissions is accreditation. Many state medical boards expect postgraduate training to be accredited by ACGME, RCPSC, or CFPC, and the program confirms it directly to the board. California, for example, uses Form PTA/PTB, which the Medical Board of California has collected electronically (through DOCS or approved third-party services) since January 2024.
Many state boards also accept foreign training certificates, but they typically ask for extra documentation, ECFMG verification, and a translation that preserves every detail. The two routes are not interchangeable, and translation cannot bridge the accreditation gap.
| Feature | ✓ ACGME / RCPSC / CFPC Accredited | Foreign Postgraduate Training |
|---|---|---|
| Verified by the program directly with the board (California: Form PTA/PTB) | ✓ Yes | ✗ Different process |
| Verified through Joint Commission primary-source standard | ✓ Yes | ✗ Requires ECFMG / FCVS layer |
| Counts toward ABMS member board eligibility | ✓ Yes | ✗ Case-by-case review |
| Program can submit verification through California DOCS | ✓ Yes | ✗ Not eligible |
| Counts toward state minimum (24 to 36 months) without waiver | ✓ Yes | ✗ Often requires state waiver |
| Requires certified English translation | ✗ English original | ✓ Yes, word-for-word |
| Apostille requested by some state boards | ✗ Not applicable | ✓ Required by some boards |

The rules differ by authority; see who can legally certify a translation.
