Thai Translation Services
Certified Thai to English translation of birth and marriage certificates, house registration books, ID cards and academic records, with Buddhist Era dates converted correctly. $22.99 per page, 24-hour delivery for up to 3 pages.
Thai documents date events in the Buddhist Era (B.E.), which is 543 years ahead of the Gregorian calendar, so a document dated 2567 B.E. refers to 2024. We translate every Thai document into English with dates converted and names kept consistent with your passport.
- Birth and marriage certificates, Tabien Baan house registration, Thai ID cards, name-change certificates
- Common for K-1 fiancé(e) visas, spousal visas and UK and Canadian partner applications
- Academic records and diplomas for WES and ECE evaluation

What Makes Thai Documents Different
- Buddhist Era dates. Years are counted 543 years ahead of the Gregorian calendar. We give each date as written and add the Gregorian year in brackets
- Name order. Thai names are written given name first and surname second, and Thai titles such as Nai, Nang and Nangsao appear before the name. We translate titles and keep the order clear
- Name changes. Changing a first name or surname is common in Thailand. If your documents show different names, include the name-change certificate so the translation set tells one consistent story
- Romanization. Thai has several systems for writing names in Latin letters. We match your passport spelling when you send it

Legalization of Thai Documents
Thailand joined the Hague Apostille Convention in June 2026, but it only takes effect on 28 February 2027. Until then, Thai documents cannot be apostilled. When an authority abroad asks for authentication, the document is legalized instead. The Department of Consular Affairs of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs legalizes it first, then the embassy of the destination country if required.
USCIS, UKVI and IRCC usually ask only for a complete certified English translation. If your document carries legalization stamps, our Thai translation covers them too.
Thai Transcripts and Grades
Thai universities and many schools grade on a 4.0 scale with letter grades from A to F, including half steps such as B+ and C+. We translate the grades exactly as shown and include the grading key printed on the transcript, so an evaluator such as WES can apply it.
Many Thai universities can issue an official transcript in English. If you have one, check whether your evaluator or school will take it, since that can save a translation. Thai-language transcripts, diplomas and school certificates are translated in full, with Buddhist Era dates converted.
